The 2024 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship will take place from the 3rd to the 6th of October across three of the most stunning Scottish links courses. The tournament features a unique format that has endured the test of time.

The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship's format consists of two separate competitions: a DP World Tour Professional Tournament and a Team Championship. The latter features an amateur player paired with a pro. The prestigious event is played across the iconic Old Course St. Andrews, Championship Course Carnaoustie, and Kingsbarns Golf Links. The first three rounds will be held on all three courses, with the final round being hosted by Old Course St. Andrews.

18 holes will be played each day. There will be a cut after the first two rounds, with only the top 60 golfers making it into the penultimate round. Play will be in three-balls prior to the cut, after which the competition will be played in two-balls.

It will be a 72-hole stroke play championship. In the team event, the lower score of the golfer and the amateur's net score will make up the team's score. Both the team members will play the same hole. The top 20 teams will make the final cut irrespective of whether the individual professional makes the cut or not.

The prize purse for the professional event at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship is US$4.8 million. The tournament also offers precious European Tour and World Ranking points.
