Sungjae Im showcased his dancing skills at the Presidents Cup during a practice round. The highly anticipated team event will begin on Thursday, September 26. Ahead of the tournament, players from both the International and USA teams arrived at the venue to start their practice.

Recently, the International Presidents Cup team shared a video of Sungjae Im performing the signature dance from South Korean singer Psy’s hit song "Gangnam Style." Psy, whose net worth is reported to be $60 million according to Celebrity Net Worth, is known globally for this popular song.

In the video, the South Korean golfer performs the iconic dance move in front of his teammates, caddies, and other team officials.

The 2024 Presidents Cup will kick off on September 26. Both teams will compete in foursomes, and fourball, and eventually head into singles matches, with the team that earns the most points winning the event.

From the International side, Im will be joined by Jason Day, Hideki Matsuyama, Adam Scott, Min Woo Lee, Christian Bezuidenhout, Taylor Pendrith, Tom Kim, Byeong Hun An, Mackenzie Hughes, and Si Woo Kim.

Meanwhile, for the USA team, Scottie Scheffler will tee off alongside his teammates, including Sahith Theegala, Xander Schauffele, Wyndham Clark, Brian Harman, Russell Henley, Max Homa, Keegan Bradley, Collin Morikawa, Patrick Cantlay, Sam Burns, and Tony Finau.


Sungjae Im teams up with Tom Kim for high-stakes Presidents Cup opening round

For the first round of the 2024 Presidents Cup, Sungjae Im will team up with Tom Kim for the opening day fourball match. They will face World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler and Russell Henley of Team USA, with tee-off scheduled for 12:11 p.m. ET. There will be five fourball matches on Thursday, September 26, at the Presidents Cup.

Here are the tee times and pairings for the Thursday fourball matches (all-time ET):

  • 11:35 a.m. | Xander Schauffele/Tony Finau vs. Jason Day/Ben An
  • 11:53 a.m. | Collin Morikawa/Sahith Theegala vs. Adam Scott/Min Woo Lee
  • 12:11 p.m. | Scottie Scheffler/Russell Henley vs. Sungjae Im/Tom Kim
  • 12:29 p.m. | Wyndham Clark/Keegan Bradley vs. Taylor Pendrith/Christiaan Bezuidenhout
  • 12:47 p.m. | Patrick Cantlay/Sam Burns vs. Hideki Matsuyama/Corey Conners

Ahead of the tournament, International team captain Mike Weir expressed his excitement for the event saying (via ASAP Sports):

"As the international captain, I'm very, very excited to be representing those 12 players out there. Being from here, from Canada, from Sarnia, dream come true really to be here. Just excited to get this going against a good rival, good friend, Jim, Captain Furyk here. It's really exciting we're getting close to being underway here in a couple days. Really excited that it's kind of on the eve almost now of getting started. It's been a lot of preparation we've done for a couple years, and now we're finally here. So excited to get started."

Notably, this will be Sungjae Im’s first tournament since his last appearance at the Tour Championship, where the South Korean golfer finished in seventh place.
