At the 2016 Ryder Cup, Rickie Fowler did the 'only single guy' pose, which became quite a cult favorite over the years. Now, Tom Kim also recreated a similar pose during the ceremony ahead of the 2024 Presidents Cup.

Kim is set to compete in the Presidents Cup this week. The fourteenth edition of the biennial event will take place at the Royal Montreal Golf Club in Canada from Friday, September 27, to Sunday, September 29.

On September 24, both the US and International teams attended the Presidents Cup Celebration ahead of the main event at the Royal Montreal Golf Club. Both teams had a formal photograph session at The Ring. During the session, the four South Korean golfers also posed together in a separate photograph. While all the players were with their partners, Tom Kim was the only exception.

The PGA Tour shared a video on X where the three-time PGA Tour champion recreates the iconic Rickie Fowler pose. Here's a clip:

Notably, during last year's Ryder Cup, Team Europe also recreated a similar pose, with Viktor Hovland and José María Olazábal being the only players without a partner.

Rickie Fowler is not competing in the 2024 Presidents Cup as he failed to make the team after a poor season. Last season, he experienced a resurgence on the PGA Tour after a slump the year before. However, this year, he struggled to play at a similar level.

The 35-year-old golfer missed six cuts in fourteen starts and failed to register even one top-ten finish. Last season, he had missed just two cuts and made eight top-tens. Additionally, he had won the 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic, his first title in six years.

His T18 finish at the RBC Heritage was Fowler's best performance of the season. In the majors, his T30 finish at the Masters Tournament was his best result. He didn’t finish in the top 60 in the other three majors and missed the cut at the US Open. The six-time PGA Tour winner finished 108th in the FedEx Cup and has also slipped to 68th in the OWGR.
