Paige Spiranac's golfing skills have been praised by some of the sport's biggest names. On Thursday, October 17, the PGA Tour Champions joined in the praise, comparing her to one of their stars.

The Senior circuit posted a video clip on its X account showing Spiranac's swing and Stephen Ames' swing in succession. The post received 37,000 views in two hours and was accompanied by the following text:

"Two pure moves."

Paige Spiranac herself shared the PGA Tour Champions post.

Stephen Ames was one of the top players on the PGA Tour in the early 2000s. He won four tournaments between 2004 and 2009, including the 2006 Players Championship. He also won the Cialis Western Open in 2004 and the Children's Miracle Network Classic in 2007 and 2009.

His record in Major championships includes 37 starts and 25 cuts. He finished in the top 10 on six occasions and his best career finish in events at this level was a tie for 5th in the 1997 Open Championship, when he was the first player to finish in the top 10.

Since 2014, he has played on the PGA Tour Champions, where he has won nine tournaments in 10 seasons. He has played in 40 Senior Majors, making 39 cuts and recording 10 top 10s, including a runner-up finish at the 2022 Senior PGA Championship.

In the 2024 season, Ames has 3 wins and another 10 top 10s in 21 tournaments. He is currently ranked 3rd in the Schwab Cup rankings with two tournaments remaining on the regular schedule.

Bryson DeChambeau on Paige Spiranac: "She's a really good golfer"

Paige Spiranac did not become a golf influencer starting as a hobby, but after a golf career that began as a junior and ended after one season as a professional player. This period included three seasons of US collegiate golf.

It is therefore not surprising that Spiranac is an above-average amateur golfer (her current category). In fact, the former player herself has said that her handicap is around +3, which is close to the level of professional players.

Not surprisingly, current golf stars have expressed their admiration for Paige Spiranac's skills.

A few months ago, double Major champion Bryson DeChambeau collaborated with her for his YouTube channel and said the following:

"She's a really good golfer. Guys, if you haven't noticed, I actually played [with her] and was shocked and very impressed at how good she is." [0:45-0:52]

Another sign of the respect that she receives as a player is that the PGA Tour invited her to play in the Creator Classic. The event had a field of 16 golf influencers and only four were women.

Spiranac finished the tournament as the highest-ranked female player, finishing ninth with a score of two over par.
