Adam Scott is playing in his 11th consecutive Presidents Cup. Despite his age, the Australian is still a key asset to the International Team, as his performances at the event have shown.

During the morning four-ball round on Saturday 28th September, Adam Scott gave another demonstration of his quality by sensationally winning the 13th hole for his team. Scott denied Collin Morikawa the chance with an incredible putt from the edge of the green.

Adam Scott teamed up with Taylor Pendrith to take on Morikawa and Scottie Scheffler. The match reached the 14th hole with the Americans 1 up and it looked as if they could extend their lead with a win on this hole, as Morikawa had a 4-foot putt for birdie, while Scott's ball was 27 feet from the pin.

However, Morikawa unexpectedly missed his putt while Adam Scott sensationally holed his. The Australian's birdie levelled the match temporarily.

But the tie did not last long. Two holes later, Team USA regained the lead. The match ended on the 17th with the Americans winning 2&1.

The match had started with the Americans winning hole 2, but the International Team responded with a win on hole 3. The match remained level until hole 12, when the Americans took the lead again.

A look at Adam Scott's performance at the 2024 Presidents Cup

On the first day of the 2024 Presidents Cup, Adam Scott teamed up with Min Woo Lee to take on Collin Morikawa and Sahith Theegala in fourballs. The Americans started by winning the first hole, but the International Team levelled on the fourth and took the advantage by winning the sixth.

Morikawa and Theegala tied on the 7th, but Scott and Lee took the lead again on the 8th. The International Team led until the 12th hole, when the Americans tied and then took the lead on the 14th.

Scott and Lee failed to win any of the last four holes and eventually lost the match 1 up.

On day two, Scott teamed up with Taylor Pendrith to take on Morikawa and Theegala again, now in foursomes. This match was a far cry from the previous day as the International Team won 5&4 in just 14 holes.

Scott and Pendrith controlled the match to the extent that Morikawa and Theegala could only win one hole (7) to their opponents' six.

Scott's point was the 22nd of his career in the Presidents Cup. It is a record for an international player in the event. The Australian previously shared the record with South African Ernie Els.

The Australian is the only current player to have played in the 2003 edition, which ended in a draw. That was the last time the International Team came away with a positive result from the Presidents Cup.
