Tommy Fleetwood is currently at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee, for the FedEx St. Jude Championship. The Englishman has brought along the silver medal he won at the Paris 2024 Olympics, which has a funny story of its own.

Fleetwood was asked to pose for a photo with the other two Olympic medalists, Scottie Scheffler (gold) and Hideki Matsuyama (bronze). In that moment, they struck the iconic medal-biting pose, and the Englishman shared the following story with his colleagues (via the PGA Tour's official X account):

"Frankie [Tommy Fleetwood's son, Franklin] says to me, he's going 'Can I bite it' you know, like everybodys picture? And he actually bit it, and it's got two little teeth marks in it [laughs]. He went full bite" [0:13 - 0:22]

Fleetwood put in an outstanding performance at the just concluded Paris Olympics. Representing Great Britain, he was a consistent contender throughout the tournament, carding rounds of 67, 64, 69, and 66.

Fleetwood began the final round in third place, just one stroke behind leaders Jon Rahm and Xander Schauffele. Unlike his competitors, Fleetwood maintained a consistent level of play, and it was only Scottie Scheffler's record-breaking 62 that ultimately surpassed his score.

How many children has Tommy Fleetwood?

Tommy Fleetwood and his wife, Clare Young, are parents to one son, Franklin. The couple welcomed their baby boy in September 2017 and tied the knot shortly thereafter, in December of the same year. The couple met several years earlier when Young started working as Fleetwood's agent in 2015. They began dating soon after, and their relationship blossomed over time.

Young has two children, Oscar and Mo, from a previous relationship. Both are pursuing golf careers, and Fleetwood has been seen accompanying them at various tournaments.

Before joining Fleetwood, Young held the position of Vice President for Europe at Hambric Sports Management. She also contributed to the Richard Burns Foundation, a charity dedicated to combating brain tumors, in administrative roles.

Young has had a notably positive influence on Fleetwood's professional journey. The Englishman's ranking has significantly improved from 188th in the world in 2017 to a career-high of 9th. He currently maintains a world ranking of 11th. Of Fleetwood's eight European Tour victories, six were claimed in 2017 alone. Similarly, all three of his Ryder Cup appearances (2018, 2021, 2023) and every one of his major championship top-ten finishes (8) have occurred since then.

This season, Fleetwood has competed in 16 PGA Tour events and two DP World Tour tournaments. In Europe, he secured one victory and a T14 finish. Meanwhile, in America, he has made 14 cuts, including three top-ten performances.
