Robert MacIntyre teams up with $100,000,000 tennis titan for BMW Pro-Am

Robert MacIntyre pulled out of the 2024 BMW Championship two weeks ago citing a lower back issue. However, the Scotsman is set to tee up at the BMW PGA Championship Celebrity Pro-Am later this month with another legendary athlete who is swapping his tennis racquet for golf clubs by his side.

The PGA Tour star will enter the field at Wentworth with fellow Scottish athlete Andy Murray. The former tennis world number one is a three-time Grand Slam champion and an avid golfer.

On Wednesday, September 18, MacIntyre and Murray will play as partners in the Pro-Am. The $100 million worth tennis star (according to Celebrity Net Worth) partners the former Ryder Cup winner and two-time PGA Tour winner as he makes his debut on the tour.

MacIntyre was all praises for his teammate and was quoted as saying about the Olympian (via DP World Tour):

"Andy is a hero to so many people in Scotland – and across the world – and it’s pretty exciting to be playing alongside him in his BMW PGA Championship debut. He’s been absolutely dedicated to tennis during his incredible career, but it looks like he’s been playing plenty of golf since his retirement, so I’m looking forward to seeing if all that practice has paid off!”

The duo will be joined by other big-name celebrities like soccer legend Gareth Bale, actor Tom Holland, and PGA Tour stars Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood among other players.
