Justin Rose is one of England's most well-known athletes and shares a great camaraderie with other athletes. He turned pro in 1998 and has been competing on the professional golf circuit for more than 20 years. Rose has won 11 PGA Tour titles, 11 DP World Tour events, and a major championship in his career so far.

The golfer recently challenged English footballer Harry Kane for a unique penalty shot. Rose stood in front of a goalpost with a football and said that he was aiming for the top right corner. He took his run-up but stopped at the last moment, took a 9-iron, and played a chip shot into the top right corner of the net.

He then celebrated it in Harry Kane's signature style and challenged the Bayern Munich player to do the same. Kane loved the celebration and stood in front of the goalpost to complete the challenge. He took his nine iron and aimed at the top right corner, executed it perfectly, and, to conclude, performed his famous celebration move.

Justin Rose was firmly in contention to win at the 2024 Open Championship earlier this month. He is one of the best links golf course players, so fans expected him to have a strong showing at the final major championship of the year.

Rose did play well at Royal Troon, but narrowly missed out on winning the Claret Jug. He finished T2 for the event and carded -7 to remain two strokes behind the winner, Xander Schauffele.

He led the event for a while and remained in the top half of the leaderboard from day one. He played immaculate golf throughout the week, but sadly, his performance on the moving day let him down as he carded +2 for the day.

However, Xander Schuffele surprised everyone on the final day as he carded -6 for the round and finished -9 for the event to win his second major championship of the year. Justin Rose carded -4 for the day to remain T2 for the event and missed out on the trophy by two strokes.

Despite this, the English golfer said he has no regrets:

"I was gutted when I walked off the course and it hit me hard. I was choking back tears. I just think it's such an amazing stage, a magic moment. Towards the end of my career, I'm looking for big-stage moments, and today was nearly it. It was a lot of fun," Rose said.
