PGA Tour pro Michael S. Kim recently discussed early extension on X, stating that it isn't a root problem but rather a quick fix. He added that trying to eliminate it could actually make the swing worse.

Kim was last seen at the Wyndham Championship, where he started well but was forced to withdraw after the third round due to injury. Outside the golf course, Kim is quite active on social media and is known for sharing his insights about the game.

On Thursday, September 5, he wrote on X:

"I hear a lot of concern about early extension. Early extension isn’t a root problem, it’s actually a quick fix. You don’t go from a really good spot and all of a sudden extend. Early extension is a way for your body to get the club back into position. It’s like duct tape for your swing."
"If you just try to get rid of it by getting ur butt back or something, you’re most likely going to make it worse. Might do a video to explain if people are interested."

The 31-year-old golfer will next compete at the Procore Championship (formerly called the Fortinet Championship), which will be played from September 12 to 15 at Silverado Country Club (North Course) in Napa, California. This will be the first event of the eight-event FedEx Fall series.
