Justin Rose made a poignant post on his social media account to remember the victims of the September 11 attacks. This year marks the 23rd anniversary of the tragedy.

In his post, the English Golfer shared a picture of the tribute lights that illuminate the New York skyline on the occasion annually. The tribute lights are made of 88 searchlights in memory of the Twin Towers.

Rose wrote on X:

"23 years on. Never Forgotten."

Around 3,000 people were killed and 6,000 were injured in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Remembering the victims, President Joe Biden said in a statement (via White House):

"Today, we honor the brave Americans who met the terror of September 11 with extraordinary acts of courage and sacrifice. In our darkest hour — when terrorists believed they could bring our country to its knees — those Americans proved that our Nation’s unbreakable spirit would prevail," the statement read.

President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris will pay their respect to victims at all three September 11 crash sites on Wednesday.
