Jordan Spieth had a disappointing 2024 season as he battled most of the season with a wrist injury. He decided to get the surgery done immediately after his 2024 PGA Tour season finished at the FedEx St. Jude Championship.

Recently, while talking exclusively to Sirius XM PGA Tour Radio Channel, the 31-year-old golfer expounded on the surgery and his plans for the upcoming PGA Tour season.

"Yeah, I was told it went well. I don't remember much of it (laughs). I guess by about week 10 or 12, we'll really know. But Doc said he did a good job," Spieth said.

The three-time major championship winner then revealed his path of recovery and said, initially, he would just let it set in and slowly try to get motion back.

"First couple weeks in now it's kind of just let it set in and recover and fortunately I'm able to start very, very, very minimal kind of passive physical therapy already to try to get some range of motion back. But in due time it should be better than it was before," he added.

Spieth said he would look at the positives as missing out on the BMW Championship gave him an extra couple of weeks, and hence, he decided to get done with the surgery and be ready by the new year.

"And it's something, like you said, that's been bothering me for a while. So I think I can only look really positively about the entire situation and now that we get an offseason and, you know, I didn't make it over to BMW, I was like, let's just get this done so l can try to be ready by the new year," Spieth said.

A look at Jordan Spieth's performance on the PGA Tour in 2024.

Jordan Spieth had a disappointing season this year on the PGA Tour. In the 22 events played, Spieth has missed 7 cuts and made 3 top 10 finishes without registering any victories. His best finish came in the first event of the season at the Sentry in January, where he finished solo 3rd.

Apart from this, there wasn't much to highlight from the 31-year-old golfer's performance in 2024. Thankfully, Spieth made it to the FedExCup playoffs but fell out of the race immediately after the first event as he remained 67th in the FedExCup rankings while only the top 50 progressed to the second event.

The struggle on the course he faced this year was mostly because of the pain in his wrist, but the 13-time PGA Tour winner was determined to finish the season before going for the surgery.
