Max Homa shared a dramatic and hilarious take after his food adventure went wrong on X. The PGA Tour player recently competed in the 2024 Presidents Cup. The US won the tournament by 18.5- 11.5 against the International team at the Royal Montreal Golf Club in Montreal, Quebec.

Homa has 682k followers on X (formerly Twitter) and his recent tweet on a "mistake" that he made has received more than 319k views and hundreds of comments so far. He wrote:

"Made a mistake on the spice level of my Thai food. It was nice knowing u guys"

In response to Homa's tweet, a popular golf account, No Layings Up, wrote:

"That mild will get ya"

Homa acknowledged that even a medium spice level was too much for him to handle and wrote:

"I went medium. Found out I am in fact not that guy, pal."

Homa competed in his second Presidents Cup tournament last week. He played three matches at the tournament and was paired with Brian Harman for two foursome matches. He faced Mackenzie Hughes in his Singles match on the final day.

In the post-tournament press conference, Max Homa said (via Yahoo Sports):

"I basically had three checkmarks this week. One was to win the Presidents Cup with these boys. Two was to have a great time. And three, to get Kiz to take his shirt off."

Homa even had a bet with US Team Captain's Assistant Kevin Kisner that if the 33-year-old player scored an eagle, Kisner would go shirtless.

Let's take a look at Homa's pairings and final scores in the three matches at the 2024 Presidents Cup:

Match 8 (Friday Foursomes)

  • Christiaan Bezuidenhout / Jason Day vs Max Homa / Brian Harman
  • Result: International Team won 1 UP

Match 16 (Saturday Foursomes)

  • Brian Harman / Max Homa vs Taylor Pendrith / Adam Scott
  • Result: International Team Wins 2 UP

Match 30 (Sunday Singles)

  • Max Homa vs Mackenzie Hughes
  • Result: U.S. Team Wins 2 & 1

Max Homa splits with his swing coach Mark Blackburn on Presidents Cup eve

Max Homa announced his split with swing coach Mark Blackburn, who had started coaching the former in 2020. Homa's caddie for 11 years, Joe Greiner, suggested Blackburn to the PGA Tour player.

Homa has won five of his six PGA Tour and his only European tour titles with Blackburn. Talking about the split, he said (via PGA Tour):

"It's just a tough year. Time for a change. It's unfortunate, I love Mark. He's basically a part of my family. He's just been an amazing human being. But at times, the communication gets hard. I think everyone in here has gone through that at some point."

The former World No. 5 has had a dismal 2024 season, with only three top-10 finishes this year on the PGA Tour. He further said:

"As much as a coach can be brilliant, a genius like Mark, I know my golf swing better than anybody, and I can see it and feel it. Just trying to take some ownership like that."

Homa said that he is without a coach at the moment and that his swing is currently looked after by his friend and caddie Greiner.
