"I'm just stereotyping him" - Sahith Theegala names Presidents Cup teammate who he's "least likely to pass the aux to"

Sahith Theegala is gearing up to participate in the 2024 Presidents Cup. The biennial event will be held at the Royal Montreal Golf Club in Montreal, Quebec, Canada from Thursday, September 26 to Sunday, September 29.

Ahead of the event, the official PGA Tour account on X(formerly Twitter) posted a video. In the video, Theegala was asked who he is least likely to give control of the music in his car to. He said,

"Probably Brian Harman. I said that quickly. I'm just stereotyping him as somebody that listens to some deep, deep South country. A little bit of an age gap too. He's basically an old guy at this point. And I like house stuff. I think he would get a headache after about a minute of my music."

Harman is 37 years old while Theegala is 26.

Harman turned professional in 2009 and has three PGA Tour wins in his career. Both Harman and Theegala will be representing the USA for the first time in the 2024 Presidents Cup.

Theegala qualified automatically through his excellent performance on the Tour while Harman was a captain's pick by US Captain Jim Furyk. The USA has a terrific record at the tournament, having won 12 of the 14 tournaments held. The International team's only win came in 1998. The teams were tied at the Fancourt Hotel and Country Club in 2003.

A look at Sahith Theegala's performance in 2024

Sahith Theegala has had a great 2024 season. In 25 starts on the PGA Tour, he has had nine top-10 finishes and 12 top-25. He has also missed three cuts this year. He finished third in the FedExCup standings.

His best performances include second place at the Sentry and at the RBC Heritage, a third-place finish at the FedExCup finale, and a T4 finish at the Genesis Scottish Open.
