Fans on social media have reacted to Davis Riley winning his second PGA Tour title at the 2024 Charles Schwab Challenge. The 27-year-old, who started the final round with a four-stroke lead, finished five-stokes in the lead with a score of under 14 in Texas.

Riley shot 70 in the final round, while Scheffler carded a round of 71, resulting in the former Masters winner taking the second spot in a tie with Keegan Bradley. It was an incredible win for Riley, especially over Scheffler, who has already won four events this season and has been in incredible form.

PGA Tour shared a video of Davis Riley celebrating his fabulous win at the tournament on its X (formally Twitter) account.

Several fans took to X to laud Riley on his impressive performance at the Charles Schwab Challenge.

A fan even praised young golfers Max Meissner and Pierceson Coody for their outstanding performance in the Charles Schwab Challenge 2024. Both players finished tied for fifth place with Hayden Buckley and Sepp Straka.

It is important to note that it was Davis Riley's second win on the PGA Tour, with the first coming at the 2023 Zurich Classic of New Orleans when he registered a two-stroke victory over Adam Hadwin and Nick Taylor.

Davis Riley maintained his form throughout the PGA Tour event last week. He started the game with a birdie on the first hole during the opening round of the event on Thursday, May 23. He shot two birdies, a bogey on the front nine, and three birdies on the back nine to score 66.

Davis Riley was impressive in the second round of the Charles Schwab Challenge as he played a bogey-free round with six birdies. He made three on the front nine and three on the back nine to score 64.

He played another round of 66 on Saturday, May 25. He kicked off with two consecutive birdies on the first two holes before adding another pair of birdies on the fifth and sixth, followed by another birdie on the eighth hole. He shot bogeys on the ninth and tenth holes before ending the day with a birdie on the 16th, followed by pars on the last two holes. He scored 66 in the third round and 70 in the final with four birdies and four bogeys.

Davis Riley was awarded $1.6 million in prize money and 500 FedEx Cup points as a result of winning the Charles Schwab Challenge.
