LPGA Tour veteran Charley Hull has 677k followers on Instagram, and she regularly interacts with her followers through stories and posts. In one of her recent Instagram stories, Hull shared the heartwarming success story of 2x USGA Seated Champion Max Togisala.
In early 2022, Togisala experienced a skiing accident that resulted in paralysis and loss of leg function. Naturally, the accident was a major setback for Togisala, who has been playing golf since the age of 3. However, he overcame the setback and began playing adaptive golf, and also found a lot of success in it.
On her Instagram story, Hull shared a post which featured a quote by Togisala. It read:

Max Togisala's story from suffering an accident that left him paralyzed to becoming a 2x USGA Seated Champion has inspired many people. In the video shared by the PGA Tour, several fans left positive messages for Togisala, and his story has also been noticed by pro golfers like Charley Hull.
Togisala, in the video, also spoke about what the sport means to him. As per the 2x USGA Seated Champion, he was thinking about golf even when he was in the hospital.
"So, I have been golfing my whole life, and I think about golf basically every day. So, in the hospital, of course, I am thinking I want to play golf again. And my brother, he brought my clubs to the hospital. And when he brought them, I felt a little, like, a little sad. Like I don't think I will ever use those again," he said.
Max mentioned he and his brother Malosi are very close, and golf has helped them become even closer. Further, Max spoke about his journey in adaptive golf.
"I got into adaptive golf. I have been able to compete in the U.S. Adaptive Open, and I have won those back-to-back years. They have these tournaments for people with disabilities so they can compete in golf. I mean, I wanted to play golf again, and I wanted to play competitive. So I am glad that they have these," he added.
