Davis Riley will be playing at the second FedEx fall season event, the Sanderson Farms Championship at the Country Club of Jackson this week. The first FedEx Fall event was the Procore Championship, formerly known as the Fortinet Championship, and was won by Patton Kizzire.

Riley joined a press conference before the Mississippi event and spoke about his incentives to play in the FedEx fall season. He explained how golfers can earn spots at the 2025 signature events, which have elevated purses (via ASAP Sports),

“Yeah, obviously the Fall, pretty big incentive to play for. Luckily with the win this year and where I finished on the FedExCup, keeping my card is not of worry, but there's also a big incentive to play a lot of these Fall events so I can play myself into Pebble and LA, the Genesis," Davis Riley said.
“Yeah, that's why I'm going to play probably four or five events this Fall and try and capitalize on those opportunities and get in those 10 spots available into the first two elevated events. There's a lot to play for, and I'm excited to get going and hopefully make a push toward that and set myself up for a good start to the year.”

The golfers inside the top 125 of the FedEx list at the end of the Fall events will get to continue on the PGA Tour as full members next year. Added to that, the top 10 in the FedEx points list below no. 50 after the end of fall season events will earn spots at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and the Genesis Invitational. However, the points of the fall season will not carry forward to the next season.

Davis Riley is currently 72nd in the FedEx Cup standings.
