The Wyndham Championship 2024 is set to tee off at 6:50 am ET on August 8, Thursday at the Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C. The final event of the regular PGA Tour season will see 156 golfers compete for the $7,900,000 prize purse. Jordan Spieth is one of the top-ranked players on the field.

World No.39 Spieth is one of the 21 top 50 Official World Golf Ranking players on the Wyndham Championship field. Notably, the 31-year-old golfer comes into the competition with +3300 odds, according to CBS Sports. The former World No.1 sat sixth on the odds list behind the likes of Sungjae Im (+1600), Billy Horschel (+2500), Shane Lowry (+2500), Si Woo Kim (+2500), Cameron Young (+3000) and Min Woo Lee (+3300).

Spieth comes into the PGA Tour event after a break. The golfer last attended The Open Championship in July, where he finished T25. He enjoyed a few weeks off schedule as he sat out the 3M Open and the Olympics. Earlier this week, he admitted to having been dealing with a lingering left wrist injury and shared that he'll have to deal with it 'off season.'

It is pertinent to note that Spieth's last PGA Tour win was at the 2022 RBC Heritage. The golfer will be eyeing a major comeback this weekend after spending months on the circuit without a victory.

For the unversed, Spieth has had a disappointing season so far this year. Having started off 2024 with a third-place finish at The Sentry in January, the ace golfer failed to better the result. A T6 at the WM Phoenix Open is the only other top-10 finish he managed this season. He failed to make the cut at six events, including the Masters and The Players Championship.

Spieth will tee off his Wyndham Championship outing at 7:23 am ET on Thursday alongside Justin Rose and Will Zalatoris.
