Adam Scott is currently sitting atop the BMW Championship leaderboard with a 13-under. In the opening round, Scott dropped five birdies and a bogey to finish at 68. The following round, he set a course record by scoring 63 on Castle Pines with nine birdies. After the second round concluded, Scott talked about his performances and the reason behind changing irons during the summer.

During the press conference after the second round of the 2024 BMW Championship, the Australian golfer was asked about the reason behind changing his irons so frequently. In response, Scott said he switched irons to match the courses and settle in better, while also revealing that he used four different types of irons the entire year to find which one suited him the most. Adam Scott said (via ASAP Sports):

“Just trying to match the course. When you're a bit unsure or unsettled with what you want to do out there but you feel like you've got something good, the only way to know is to put it in play, and I certainly haven't been afraid to do that. I've used about four different sets of irons this year, and I think I'm finding what is best for me,” Adam Scott said.
"Unsurprisingly, it's pretty much what I used to use my whole career. It was all with good intention of getting better, but I think I'm in a good place. At this point, my swing DNA and my equipment is kind of part of me, and I don't think I can move too far away from that,” he added.

Currently, Adam Scott is ahead of Keegan Bradley, who's in second place after carding 66 and 68 in the first and second rounds, respectively.
