Matt Fitzpatrick, besides being one of the best professional golfers in the world, is an avid gamer. His console of choice right now is the PlayStation, but that may change in the near future. Fitzpatrick has had some issues with it of late, and he took to social media to air his grievances against the company worth over $100 billion (Stock Analysis).

He frustratedly tweeted:

"Great having a PlayStation and you can’t even play it because you’re locked out of your account. 0 customer service."

Sony has had some issues with the console as of late, and Fitzpatrick may be one of the most high-profile people to complain about the troubles. Gaming is increasingly more dependent on the internet than ever before, and things can and do go wrong often.

It is one of the three biggest gaming companies out there. While it's hard to argue against Nintendo, Sony's console is easily bigger than Xbox. Thanks to their powerful consoles and critically acclaimed exclusive titles, most people have a PS5 or PS4. That includes Fitzpatrick, but he might switch to another console if the customer service improves.

While it's unclear what games the English golfer was trying to play, the PlayStation has notable golf games like PGA Tour 2K23, Everybody's Golf, EA Sports PGA Tour, The Golf Club 2, Golf with Your Friends, and more.

When Tiger Woods revealed his PlayStation love

Video games are a big part of a lot of people's everyday lives, and that includes popular athletes. Tiger Woods once revealed that he ignored a fellow golfer and friend of his when he wanted to play Call of Duty on his PlayStation.

Woods has spent a lot of time rehabilitating from injuries and surgeries. Most recently, he underwent ankle surgery in April of 2023 and was out of action until December. He revealed in 2020 that he often plays games during those times.

Woods said then that he had to tell Justin Thomas to quit reaching out as he was gaming and didn't want to do anything else:

"JT [Justin Thomas] was texting me last night, 'what are you doing right now?'. I said 'Quit bugging me, I'm playing Call of Duty'. I brought my little purple Playstation and I was playing a little bit last night."

Even though it was all the rage at the time and arguably has been for years, Woods revealed that he didn't play a popular battle royale on his console:

"I don't like Fortnite. Everyone is different. But the majority of the younger guys do travel with their Playstations and play online and have a little bit of fun."

While Woods certainly has his preferences, he loves gaming and tries to bring a console sometimes when he's traveling or rehabbing.
