20-time PGA Tour winner Greg Norman has been helming the LIV Golf league since 2022. The CEO of the Saudi based league is striving to further the game via different player opportunities and playing formats.

Despite facing backlash from professional players and the golf community, Norman truly believes that LIV Golf is the best thing to help advance the sport. According to Flushing It's post on X (formerly Twitter), the 88-time international winner is of the opinion that players who are not part of LIV Golf desparately want to get involved with the league. Here's what Norman had to say.

"We knew that we had to create this pathway of opportunity for the next generation. And there are players out there with FOMO right now. They want to get in. So the players who are in, know that there’s that FOMO wanting to get in, and they don’t want to get out."

With the LIV Golf league steering away from the traditional format of professional golf, enthusiasts all over the world feel that its players aren't committed to performing to the best of their abilities. However, Greg Norman believes that the Saudi-backed league's players show great promise. The LIV Golf CEO said:

"I see the intensity on the driving ranges. Each and every day, practice round, first round, even this morning you can see it elevating. Then you look at the players that are in that zone, they know they’re in that zone, the relegation zone. Bubba Watson, for example, I watched Bubba on TV all day yesterday. You can see his face going up and down, so you don’t think he’s under pressure. Damn right he’s under pressure."
