The 2024 U.S. Open is set to be played at the iconic Pinehurst No. 2 course from June 13 to 16. The field comprises of 156 of the best players in the world as they get ready to compete for the grand $20 million prize purse and 750 FedEx Cup Points on offer. But the victory comes with another sweet perk.

The winner of the U.S. Open not only gets to take the prize money, points and trophy home but is also awarded an incredible 10-year exemption into the tournament.

Notably, three time U.S. Open winner Tiger Woods failed to qualify for this year's edition of the Major. Having won the tournament in 2000, 2002 and 2008, his exemption had expired in 2018. Woods also recieved a five-year exemption valid for the U.S. Open from his legendary win at the 2019 Masters at Augusta National Golf Club, but that expired in 2023 too.

However, the 15-time Major winner will be among the field at Pinehurst No. 2 this year. Tiger Woods recieved a special invite from the United States Golf Association (USGA), which organizes the tournament, to seek his fourth U.S. Open victory.
