5 Golfers who missed the cut at the 2024 Andalucia Masters

The top 50 players in the DP World Tour rankings, known as the Race to Dubai, will qualify for the season-ending Tour Championship. Several players with a shot at Dubai missed the cut at the Andalucia Masters:

#1 Sebastian Soderberg

The Swede is currently tied for 11th in the Race to Dubai. That not only earns him a spot in the DP World Tour Championship, but also his PGA Tour card for next season.

Sebastian Soderberg missed the cut by one shot at the 2024 Andalucia Masters. He played the first round with three birdies and no bogeys, but struggled more in the second round, carding an eagle, two birdies, and six bogeys to finish at 1-under for 36 holes.

#2 Frederic Lacroix

The Frenchman currently sits in 21st place in the Race to Dubai, but is less than 60 points away from being one of the ten players to receive a PGA Tour card.

Frederic Lacroix struggled early on at the Andalucia Masters. His first round included an eagle and three birdies, but also five bogeys. He improved on Friday with four birdies and three bogeys, but it was not enough and he missed the cut by one stroke.

#3 Ewen Ferguson

The Scot is ranked 29th in the Race to Dubai and has a chance (albeit a long one) to pull off an upset and win his PGA Tour card. To do so, he would need to win at least one of the remaining tournaments.

At the Andalucia Masters, Ewen Ferguson's main problems came on the first day, when he carded four bogeys and two birdies. He improved in the second round with six birdies and five bogeys, but still missed the cut.

#4 Darius Van Driel

The Dutchman is the 33rd player in the Race to Dubai, thanks to a victory (Magical Kenya Open) and three other top-10 finishes in 2024.

At the Real Club de Golf Sotogrande, Darius Van Driel carded back-to-back rounds of 73 to miss the cut by five shots. His tournament performance included seven birdies and nine bogeys.

#5th Ugo Coussaud

The Frenchman carded an ace in the first round in one of the highlights of the day. However, Ugo Coussaud was unable to capitalize on the momentum and finished one-under par, one stroke below the cut line.

Coussaud is ranked 36th in the Race to Dubai, thanks to three top-10s and 19 cuts made in 26 tournaments over the course of 2024.
