As of Sunday morning, thanks to the weather, the cut was made at the Wyndham Championship. No matter who a golfer is, they're capable of putting in two rough rounds of golf and going home before the tournament ends. While some have made the cut in all starts this year (like Scottie Scheffler has), most golfers tend to miss a cut here and there even if they're among the world's best.

The cut was set at four under par early on August 11, indicating that the field had a pretty good two rounds overall. Unfortunately, even with a solid scoreline, some big-name golfers missed the cut in the tournament which is the final chance to earn FedEx Cup points.

On that note, let's take a look at some of the notable players who missed the cut:

Hayden Springer might not seem like a superstar in the world of golf, but he's a name golf fans know well. He put in an outstanding round a few weeks ago at the John Deere Classic, shooting 59 in the opening round and finishing T7 at the event. While he wasn't bad at the Wyndham, shooting 70 and 67, he did miss the cut.

4) Will Zalatoris

Will Zalatoris may be known more for his injury struggles than his performances now, but he's still a former Rookie of the Year with a lot of promise. His health plays a role, but he struggles at times. This weekend was one of those times, though a 69 and 72 in the two rounds are far from abysmal scores.

3) Jordan Spieth

Just a few weeks ago, Justin Rose was putting in an impressive performance at the Open Championship. The veteran golfer had turned back the clock and was in real contention for a Major trophy. At one point during the final round, he was the leader but ended up coming up short against Xander Schauffele. Rose eventually slipped down the standings and missed the cut despite shooting a 70 and a 67.
