Juventus director Beppe Marotta has quashed all the speculation linking Claudio Marchisio to Manchester United and insisted that the midfielder won’t be sold in this summer.

The 27-year-old Italian was reportedly ready to explore some options, but the Juventus director has said that the club won’t be listening to offers.

Marotta told Calciomercato: “We won’t sell him. It seems to me that the clearest demonstration about Marchisio’s importance to Juventus was the contract renewal we signed in September 2012 until June 2017 which changed his salary.

Manchester United had reported their interest in the midfielder last week as David Moyes continues his attempts at enhancing the United midfield.

Claudio Marchisio could be a good signing for the Red Devil,s but they will have to make a ‘sensational offer’ to land the midfielder home.

“We would only review the situation if a sensational offer arrived that wasn’t in line with the market and that, until this moment, hasn’t arrived,” added Marotta.
