USA and Germany continue their Paris 2024 Olympics Women's Football campaign when they square off at the Stade Velodrome on Sunday (July 28). The USWNT kickstarted their campaign with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Zambia on Thursday.
They were three goals up by the 25th minute. Trinity Rodman broke the deadlock in the 17th minute before Mallory Swanson added a quickfire brace. The Zambians were reduced to 10 players following Pauline Zulu's red card at the half-hour mark.
Germany, meanwhile, also comfortably dispatched Australia 3-0 in their group opener. Marina Hegering opened the scoring midway through the first half before Lea Schuller and Jule Brand found the back of the net after the break.
The victories took both sides joint-top of Group B on three points.
