"These feet are worth a billion euros" - When Cristiano Ronaldo made hilarious claim in response to query by ex-Juventus teammate

Former Juventus teammates Cristiano Ronaldo and Weston McKennie shared a funny moment from their days of playing for the Serie A side.

During a training session, the American commented on the Portuguese star's feet. Narrating the incident, McKennie said, back in February 2023 (via Marca):

"A story with Ronaldo, he was getting a massage and I was walking around and I said 'my God, your feet look terrible!' and he said 'my friend, these feet are worth a billion euros'."

"I replied 'you're right, respect'," the American midfielder laughingly confessed.

Ronaldo joined Juventus in 2018 after a hugely successful stint with Real Madrid. He enjoyed three successful seasons with the Bianconeri, scoring 101 goals in 134 games while also winning the Scudetto twice.

In the summer of 2021, he completed a sensational return to Manchester United, the club where he grew as one of the world's most exciting attackers before his move to Real Madrid. Eventually, he left the Red Devils after a spat with management and joined Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr in December 2022.

McKennie, meanwhile, made the switch from Schalke to Juventus in the summer of 2020 on loan with an option to make the deal permanent, which was triggered later. He has since gone on to make 134 appearances for the club, bagging 13 goals and 15 assists.

Liverpool attacker Diogo Jota claimed that it was unlikely that Euro 2024 would be Cristiano Ronaldo's last major international tournament. The winger also went on to praise the Al-Nassr icon, saying (via GOAL):

"I am not sure about [the Euros being his last international tournament]. I am not sure what he told about his last tournament. But he has been an inspiration for me since his early days, since I can remember. He is an icon and won the Ballon d'Or multiple times. He was a reference for me. I was glad to share a dressing room with him and learn everything I could. I will thank him for that."

The 39-year-old endured a difficult time at the Euros, failing to find the back of the net in any of Portugal's five games in this edition. He was often left frustrated, with criticism of his performances growing throughout the tournament.

Ronaldo could not do much as Portugal were sent crashing out of the quarter-finals by France. While he confirmed that he would not feature in the next Euros, it remains to be seen if he will suit up for the 2026 World Cup.
