Manchester City striker Julian Alvarez's agent has reportedly had a discussion with PSG. The 24-year-old has been at the Etihad since the 2022-23 season.

In 103 appearances across competitions, the Argentine has contributed 36 goals and 18 assists. That includes 19 goals and 13 assists in 51 games across competitions last season, with Alvarez starting 39 times.

Despite his contract at the Etihad running till 2028, Alvarez might cut short his stint. That's because as per Albiceleste Talk (via Ariel Nosiain), his agent is travelling to Paris to meet Paris Saint-Germain for a possible move.

Alvarez, like his strike partner Erling Haaland, won the continental treble with City in his first season at the club in 2022-23. He contributed 17 goals and five assists in 49 outings but started only 19 times.

His game time definitely improved in his sophomore season, but the Argentine seemingly wants more regular football. The 24-year-old is coming off a decent 2024 Copa America campaign with La Albiceleste, who defended their title.

Alvarez contributed two goals in five games as he won his fourth straight title with his national team and successive Copa titles.

Manchester City commenced their pre-season ahead of the 2024-25 campaign by losing 4-3 to Celtic at Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Oscar Bobb, Maximo Perrone and Erling Haaland were the scorers for Pep Guardiola's side.

City next took on AC Milan at the Yankee Stadium in New York but endured another defeat, going down 3-2, with Haaland once again among the scorers, as well as James McAtee.

In their next outing, City' losing run continued, this time against Barcelona at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando. Nico O'Reilly and Jack Grealish scored either side of the break to make it 2-2 before Guardiola's side lost 4-1 in the ensuing shootout.

The Cityzens next take on Premier League rivals Chelsea on Saturday (August 3) at the Ohio Stadium in Columbus to end their pre-season. Guardiola's side open the new campaign with a clash with Manchester United in the FA Community Shield at the Wembley in London on August 10.
