Liverpool are reportedly contemplating a double raid on the Wolverhampton Wanderers duo of striker Pedro Neto and left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri. They would be the first signings under new boss Arne Slot.

The former Feyenoord tactician has arrived at Anfeld this summer to replace the legendary Jurgen Klopp, who left at the end of last season, citing burnout, ending a nine-year stay.

With key players like Trent Alexander-Arnold and captain Virgil van Dijk yet to renew their stays, Reds fans want their club to get busy in the transfer market. As per GiveMeSport (via Sportbible), the Premier League giants are eyeing the aforementioned Wolves duo to kickstart the Slot era in right earnest.

Neto is under contract at the Molineux till 2027, with Wolves reportedly looking for £60 million. Meanwhile, Ait-Nouri - who runs out of contract in 2026 - apparently has a release clause of £38 million, which means the Reds would need nearly £100 million to lure the Wolves duo from the Molineux.

Neto could be a solid replacement for the talismanic Mohamed Salah. Meanwhile, Ait-Nouri would address the problematic left-back area, with Andrew Robertson grappling with injuries and Kostas Tsimkas not yet a first-team regular.

Liverpool kickstarted their Arne Slot era with a 1-0 loss to Preston last week in a closed-doors friendly at the AXA Training Centre in Kirby. Next up, they take on La Liga side Real Betis on July 27 in Pittsburgh in their first game of their US tour.

Slot's side are scheduled to take on Arsenal four days later in Philadelphia before they lock horns with Manchester United in South Carolina in South Carolina. Their pre-season ends against Sevilla at Anfield on August 11.

The Reds open their new Premier League campaign at newly promoted Ipswich Town on August 18. Having finished third in the league last season, can Slot haul them back to a title triumph in his first season in English football?
