Liverpool are leading Arsenal and Manchester United in the race to sign Eberechi Eze, according to Football Insider. The player's camp has apparently given its green signal to the Merseyside club to complete a move next summer.

Eze arrived at Selhurst Park from Queens Park Rangers in 2020 and has since established himself as a first-team regular with the Eagles. Last season, the 26-year-old registered 11 goals and six assists in 31 games across competitions.

Liverpool had their eyes on the player this summer but failed to make a move. The Reds are looking for an upgrade on Dominic Szoboszlai, who has struggled for consistency.

New boss Arne Slot wants his attacking midfielder to regularly pick up goals and assists. The Merseyside club believe Eze could be the man for the job. However, Liverpool face competition from multiple suitors for the Englishman, including Arsenal and Manchester United.

The Gunners want more creativity in their ranks to sustain their recent rise and have identified Eze as an option. He could also be a fine cover for Martin Odegaard at the Emirates.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils are in troubled waters this season, with the team failing to impress in the final third. Eze could be an upgrade on Mason Mount, who has failed to live up to expectations.

However, as things stand, Liverpool are ahead of Arsenal and United in the race for the Crystal Palace man. Eze had a reported £68 million release clause this summer, which has now expired. However, it will come into effect again next summer, so the Merseyside club could sign him by matching that amount.

Eberechi Eze has been very quick off the blocks this season, registering three goals and one assist in eight games across competitions. The player has already shown that he could be an asset for Arsenal and Manchester United as well.

The Englishman saw Michael Olise hit a higher gear since completing a move to Bayern Munich this summer and is eager to do the same. As such, he could be tempted to join either of the Premier League giants.

Eze also has admirers at Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City and could ignite a melee for his services in 2025. Recent reports have also suggested that Spurs have a gentleman's agreement with Eze regarding a move next year.
