La Liga giants keen on signing 27-year-old Real Madrid star - Reports

Borussia Dortmund v Real Madrid CF - UEFA Champions League Final 2023/24
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti

According to Relevo, Atletico Madrid are interested in Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos. Ceballos, 27, is reportedly keen on a summer move away from the club, as he seeks more first-team football.

However, Los Blancos would reportedly only look to sell Ceballos if the midfielder's sale brings in an acceptable transfer fee. Apart from Los Rojiblancos, Real Betis have also been linked with bringing Ceballos back to the club.

With the likes of Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni present, Ceballos has found it tough to get regular game time. In the 2023-24 season, he made 27 appearances across competitions, starting only eight, scoring once and providing two assists.

Ceballos joined Real Madrid from Betis in 2017 and spent two seasons at Arsenal on loan. He has made 147 appearances for Madrid, scoring seven goals and providing 14 assists.

The central midfielder has won 14 trophies with Madrid, including three UEFA Champions League, two La Liga and three FIFA Club World Cup titles. His current deal with Los Merengues runs until the end of the 2026-27 season, and Ceballos has an estimated market value of €6 million.

While Ceballos has been a great squad player for Carlo Ancelotti's side, given the team's depth in midfield, it's unlikely that he would feature in the first team regularly in the upcoming season.

Fran Garcia could leave Real Madrid in the summer

As per Relevo, Fran Garcia could leave Real Madrid this summer. Los Blancos have been heavily linked with a summer move for Bayern Munich's Canadian full-back Alphonso Davies.

Ferland Mendy, though, is expected to stay, as he's a reliable player under Carlo Ancelotti. Davies and Mendy co-existing could mean that Fran Garcia would have no chance of playing next season, so the 24-year-old could head down the exit door.

Garcia, a product of Madrid's Castilla academy, rejoined the club from Rayo Vallecano last summer and has made 32 appearances for the first team, scoring once and providing seven assists. Davies' potential arrival, though, could significantly diminish his playing chances.
