According to Diario AS, Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin is looking to leave the club in the summer. Chelsea are reportedly among the clubs interested in the Ukrainian (as per journalist Romain Molina).

The Blues want to give Robert Sanchez competition for the No. 1 spot, as per reports. Lunin recently signed with Jorge Mendes' agency and the Portuguese is trying to convince Lunin to leave Los Blancos.

Lunin deputized brilliantly after Thibaut Courtois was injured last season. He kept 12 clean sheets in 31 appearances across competitions. The 25-year-old was also the hero of the penalty shootout against Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

Lunin, however, had to watch from the bench as Courtois reclaimed his number-one slot in the UEFA Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund. Since his 2018 move to Real Madrid, he has so far played only 48 matches for the club, keeping 16 clean sheets.

Chelsea are reportedly keen on the Ukraine international and the player is also willing to leave, as per Diario AS. Lunin's current deal with Los Merengues expires at the end of the 2024-25 season and he has an estimated market value of €25 million.

Liverpool interested in Real Madrid shot-stopper Andriy Lunin: Reports

Chelsea are not the only English club interested in Andriy Lunin. According to reports in Spain, as relayed by Caughtoffside, Liverpool also hold an interest in the Real Madrid goalkeeper.

Alisson Becker has attracted interest from the Saudi Pro League. Caimohin Kelleher, meanwhile, could be on the move as he is keen to secure more first-team opportunities.

Lunin has emerged as an option. While has spent a lot of time as a back-up for the Madrid giants, his quality was on display during the 2023-24 season. He could turn out to be a handy option for Premier League clubs to have.
