Real Madrid are set to sell or loan Brazilian attacking midfielder Reinier Jesus this summer. While the 22-year-old has reportedly shown great enthusiasm during training, Los Blancos believe there is no longer any space to accommodate him in the senior squad, as per Diario AS.

Los Blancos signed Reinier from Flamengo in January 2020 for a reported transfer fee of €30 million. He made three appearances for Real Madrid Castilla during the same season, scoring two goals, but failed to break into the senior squad.

The Brazilian spent the next two seasons on loan at Borussia Dortmund, before being loaned to Girona and Frosinone during the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons, respectively. He failed to make much of an impact last season with the Serie A side, scoring three goals and providing two assists in 23 appearances across competitions.

Reinier returned to Madrid this summer and has reportedly been training well under Carlo Ancelotti. However, it appears he will not be playing a role for them this season either. Los Blancos have an abundance of attacking midfielders with Jude Bellingham, Brahim Diaz, and Nico Paz above him in the pecking order.

"I hadn’t planned it" - Endrick talks about how Cristiano Ronaldo played a role in his dream transfer to Real Madrid

Newly unveiled Real Madrid forward Endrick has explained how Cristiano Ronaldo played a pivotal part in his decision to join the club. The 18-year-old grew up supporting Los Blancos and idolized Ronaldo, joining the Spanish giants from Palmeiras on a six-year deal.

Endrick was officially unveiled at the Santiago Bernabeu on July 27 in front of hundreds of fans. During his presentation, he tearfully said (via GOAL):

“I hadn’t planned it, but I’ve loved Real Madrid since I was a kid. I saw Cristiano Ronaldo and because of him I wanted to know a bit more about Real Madrid. Years ago I looked up all the idols, also [Emilio] Butragueno. Since I was a child I was in love with Real Madrid. I didn’t want to cry, but it came from my soul.”

It comes as no surprise that Endrick mentioned Ronaldo as his source of inspiration. The 39-year-old had a legendary tenure with Los Blancos between 2009 and 2018, garnering 450 goals and 131 assists in 438 appearances across competitions.
