Real Madrid are keeping an eye on Bayer Leverkusen defender Jeremie Frimpong as a target to bolster their right-back position, as per Sky Sports. The Dutch international has emerged as an option for the European champions after a series of quality displays for club and country.

Formerly of Manchester City, Frimpong has established himself as one of Europe's finest attacking full-backs in recent seasons. He played a pivotal role in helping his club win the Bundesliga title and DFB-Pokal in the 2023-24 season and has continued to impress with the club.

Real Madrid find themselves in urgent need of a right-back after the season-ending injury picked up by Dani Carvajal just before the international break. Los Blancos are aware of the conditions of a deal for Frimpong, and they may be willing to pursue it in January, as per Sky Sports.

Jeremie Frimpong, 23, has a release clause of €40 million in his contract with the Bundesliga champions and is contracted until 2028. The pacey defender is reportedly reluctant to move away from the German club in January and may resist a transfer.

Frimpong has recorded one goal and five assists in 10 appearances across all competitions for Bayer Leverkusen already this season, further proving his attacking threat. He finished the 2023-24 season with nine goals and nine assists in 31 Bundesliga appearances.

Real Madrid have previously been linked with the Premier League duo of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Reece James as they look for options to replace Carvajal. Carlo Ancelotti will have to make do with versatile veteran Lucas Vazquez until the January transfer window, at the earliest.

Vuskovic is regarded by many as the next Josko Gvardiol. Real Madrid are interested in signing the 17-year-old as part of their rebuild, according to Defensa Central. Los Blancos are in the market for young defenders, with Palmeiras man Vitor Reis another on their radar.

Luka Vuskovic is presently on loan in Belgium with KVC Westerlo, where he has contributed four goals and an assist in 10 games from centre-back. The precocious youngster will move to Tottenham in the summer of 2025, and Real will need to be patient if they are to sign him.
