According to Manchester Evening News, Manchester United are trying hard to sell Victor Lindelof this summer. Lindelof, 29, is currently in the final year of his contract with the Red Devils.

The centre-back joined the club from Benfica in 2017 and has so far made 259 appearances for the Manchester outfit. In the 2023-24 season, the Swede played 28 games across competitions, his lowest in a campaign for the club. Lindelof also had to deal with an injury-plagued season.

Manchester United have already agreed to sell Willy Kambwala to Villarreal, as per the aforementioned report. Raphael Varane has left the club as a free agent while Lisandro Martinez is in the Argentina team that have reached the Copa America 2024 final.

While Jonny Evans has penned a new one-year deal, Erik ten Hag will have a centre-back shortage for the team's pre-season friendly against Rosenborg. Harry Maguire, meanwhile, has joined first-team training for pre-season.

United, though, are looking to sell players that in the final year of their contracts. Lindelof is expected to head the exit door amid reports that Turkish giants Fenerbahce are interested in the player.

Apart from Lindelof, Mason Greenwood and Aaron Wan Bissaka are the players that are available for sale, according to the report from Manchester Evening News.

According to Sky Sports, Manchester United are simultaneously working on deals for three central defender. They are interested in signing Matthijs de Ligt from Bayern Munich and reuniting the former Ajax star with Erik ten Hag.

United are also keen on Everton's Jarrad Branthwaite. The Red Devils reportedly had a £45 million plus £5 million add-ons bid rejected for the young English defender.

Leny Yoro is another player the Old Trafford club are interested in. However, they face stern competition to sign the French prodigy. Real Madrid and Liverpool are also interested with the Madrid giants understood to be leading the race to land the French centre-back.
