Manchester United's hierarchy are reportedly prepared to sack Erik ten Hag if his side lose to Aston Villa on Sunday (October 6). The Red Devils make the trip to Villa Park in poor form and speculation is growing over Ten Hag's future.

Manchester Evening News reports that Ten Hag's job could be at stake against the Villans. The Reds are on a run of four games without a win and nicked a point in a 3-3 draw against FC Porto in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday.

Ten Hag has been heavily criticized for Manchester United's lack of form this season. They sit 13th in the Premier League, with two wins and three defeats in six games.

The Red Devils were beaten 3-0 at home to Tottenham Hotspur last weekend, casting doubts over Ten Hag's future. He signed a new one-year contract extension in the summer and was backed by INEOS in the transfer market.

Ten Hag remained defiant despite the ongoing talk of him being relieved of his duties. He spoke about being in a process after the draw at the Estadio do Dragao against Porto (via TheEuropeanLad on X):

"We will get there. Don't judge us in this moment, judge us in the end. We are in a process."

Ten Hag arrived at Manchester United in July 2022 and has overseen two trophy wins in as many years. However, his side suffered the worst Premier League campaign in the club's history last season, finishing eighth.

Barcelona and Juventus are reportedly interested in signing Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho. The Argentine youngster is one of the Red Devils' shining stars and has seemingly caught the attention of two of Europe's big guns.

The Sun reports that Barca and Juve are monitoring Garnacho and could test the waters with a bid next summer. He has just over three years left on his contract at Old Trafford.

Manchester United are said to value Garnacho at £50 million, which seems low given his prominence in Erik ten Hag's team. He's made 10 appearances across competitions this season, posting four goals and three assists.

Despite his fine form, Garnacho hasn't been a regular starter, with Ten Hag preferring Marcus Rashford and Amad Diallo. The Argentine attacker was one of the Reds' most important players last season, scoring in their 2-1 FA Cup final win against Manchester City.

Barca have a glittering array of talents at Hansi Flick's disposal at Camp Nou but could look to bolster their attack. Lamine Yamal, 17, is shining on the right flank and Garnacho could be a blockbuster signing to accompany him in the frontline.
