Manchester United are reportedly pushing hard to land Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), with manager Erik ten Hag desperate to land the Uruguayan. As per Caught Offside, the Red Devils have already agreed personal terms with the defensive midfielder.

However, the report claims that the Red Devils are yet to agree on a fee with PSG who are unwilling to budge from their asking price. Manchester United are desperate to land the 23-year-old before the transfer deadline day.

Erik ten Hag's side have reportedly received a major boost in their pursuit of Ugarte after he was left out of the PSG squad for their season opener against Le Harve. The Premier League giants are reportedly hopeful that they can come to an agreement with the Parisian giants.

Manchester United had a forgettable season last time out as they finished eighth in the Premier League. Their midfield struggles were a key reason behind the Red Devils' poor showing with Casemiro enduring a difficult season.

Casemiro featured in just 32 games across competitions last season as he struggled for both fitness and form. However, the 32-year-old has started the new season on a positive note impressing in Manchester United's first two games.

Ugarte joined PSG last summer in a reported €60 million deal from Sporting CP. He made 37 appearances in his debut season for the French giants, contributing three assists.

Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen has been linked with a move to Ajax following his struggle for regular minutes at Old Trafford. The Danish playmaker spent the early years of his career at the Dutch club who are reportedly looking to reunite with the 32-year-old.

Reputed journalist Michael Plant has claimed that Ajax are looking to bring the Dernmark international back to the Johan Cruyff Arena. Eriksen made 163 appearances for de Godenzonen scoring 32 times and providing 65 assists.

Eriksen joined Manchester United on a free transfer in the summer of 2022 and enjoyed a solid first season, making 44 appearances for Erik ten Hag's side. However. he only made 28 appearances in the 2023-24 season.

The Danish midfielder has been on the bench in both of the Red Devils' two games so far this season. Ajax had a season to forget last time out as they finished fifth in Eredivisie.
