Reigning Premier League champions Manchester City are reportedly monitoring Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White. The Englishman, who recently made his international debut, has attracted City's attention with his impressive performances at club level, as per HITC (via CaughtOffside).

Since joining Forest in 2022 from Wolverhampton Wanderers, the midfielder has emerged as a key player for his side. His growth has prompted interest not only from Manchester City but also from Premier League rivals Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.

City's interest comes amid uncertainty surrounding the future of their midfield talisman Kevin De Bruyne, who has been linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium. The Cityzens are reportedly exploring options for the 33-year-old's long-term midfield replacement.

However, Nottingham Forest are eager to secure Gibbs-White’s future, with discussions about a new contract, including a significant pay rise, reportedly in the works. Despite Forest’s efforts to retain him, the allure of working under Pep Guardiola and playing alongside City’s world-class talents like Erling Haaland and Phil Foden could tempt Gibbs-White.

In 84 appearances for Forest, the 24-year-old Englishman has scored 12 goals and provided 18 assists.

Manchester City could reignite interest in Celtic striker during January transfer window - Reports

Manchester City could rekindle their interest in Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi in the January transfer window after failing to secure his signature over the summer, according to Football Insider (via SportsMole).

The Premier League champions are reportedly still considering the Japan international as a potential backup for Erling Haaland. The 29-year-old forward has been a standout performer for Celtic since he arrived in 2021, contributing to 90 goals in 138 appearances across all competitions.

Although Pep Guardiola is satisfied with his current squad, City’s need for a second striker after Julian Alvarez’s unexpected departure to Atletico Madrid could be addressed in January. However, Furuhashi’s age may complicate the potential deal, as he turns 30 next year, and City are reportedly unwilling to offer a long-term contract.
