Jurgen Klopp will officially start work as Red Bull's global head of soccer in January, but the former Liverpool manager is already planning his targets from Barcelona B, as per reports. The German is keen on signing Aleix Garrido and Noah Darvich from the Catalan side when the transfer window opens.

As per a report in Weekend Sports, Klopp is planning out transfer strategies for the Red Bull group. The German has no plans to change the group's philosophy and is monitoring the youngsters who are impressing with the youth sides.

Garrido made his Barcelona first-team debut in April 2023 but has not made another appearance for the club. The 20-year-old central midfielder is regarded as one of the best in the club's youth system but is yet to play this season after suffering a metatarsal fracture in February.

Darvich was signed from SC Freiburg, and the German U19 captain has been doing well for the Catalan side. The attacking midfielder has not made it to the first team yet but is one of the players touted to break into Hansi Flick's plans soon.

Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp appointed as the new Head of Global Soccer at RedBull

Jurgen Klopp left Liverpool at the end of the 2023/24 season and has taken a break from the dugout. The manager has admitted that he will not be a manager anytime soon, but wants to be involved in football.

In his Instagram post after he was unveiled as the new Head of Global Soccer by RedBull, the former Liverpool manager said:

"Hi, some of you might have heard already, some of you won't. From 1st of January 2025, I will be head of global soccer at RedBull. Few months ago, I said I don't see myself on the sidelines anymore and it's still the case. But I still love football and still live working. And RedBull gives me the perfect platform for that. I want to share my experience. Which I collected over the years and we all know, they are much more successful managers out there, but in my career, I fought for a promotion, I fought against relegation, I fought for titles and I fought for trophies. Sometimes we failed, sometimes we succeeded and dealing with, that is not easy but it's possible."
"Then I want to learn again because when you're in the job and you have to play every three days, you barely have time for that. And now I have time and I have the opportunity. And I want to see and feel and figure out what is useful for football. So developing football a little bit as well. All said, really looking forward to it, but now I go back on my holiday," he added.

The former Liverpool manager has not taken charge yet and will start from the January 1, 2025. He was linked with the United States national team job, but quickly rejected the opportunity, as per reports.
