Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp linked with return to management

Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been linked with a return to management with Serie A giants Inter Milan reportedly interested in his signature. As reported by InterLive, the Nerazzurri are considering the German as a potential replacement for Simone Inzaghi who could be on his way to Manchester United.

The aforementioned report claims that Inzaghi is being eyed as a potential replacement for Erik ten Hag at Manchester United. The Dutchman's job at Old Trafford is reportedly on the line following the Red Devils' dismal start to the 2024-25 season.

Inzaghi, who won the Serie A title with Inter Milan last season, is understood to be Sir Jim Ratcliffe's top choice should ten Hag face the axe. The report suggests that the 20-time Serie A winners would move for Klopp if they lose Inzaghi to Manchester United.

Jurgen Klopp stepped down from the manager's position at Liverpool this summer after nine years in charge of the Merseyside giants. The German claimed that he was running out of energy and needed to give more time to his family.

Klopp enjoyed a pretty successful stint at Liverpool, leading the Reds to eight trophies during his nine-year stint. He ended the Reds' thirty-year wait for their first Premier League title and lost out on the league title by just one point twice.

The Merseyside giants also won their sixth Champions League under Klopp's tutelage and also lost two finals. The former Mainz and Borussia Dortmund manager truly revived the club's legacy and made them a force to reckon with in both England and Europe.

Liverpool attacker subject to interest from La Liga giants: Reports

La Liga giants Atletico Madrid are reportedly plotting a move for Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez. As reported by Spanish outlet Fichajes.net, Diego Simeone's side have identified the Uruguay international as an option to bolster their attack.

Nunez has struggled for opportunities this season following Arne Slot's arrival at the club and has played just 246 minutes of first-team football. He has only found the back of the net once this campaign while setting up one goal.

Slot has six quality attackers at his disposal and has opted for heavy rotation to give everyone playing time. Nunez has only started two games while coming off the bench on four occasions.

The Uruguayan joined Liverpool in the summer of 2022 from Benfica in a club-record deal worth a reported £85 million. He has scored 34 goals and provided 18 assists in 102 appearances for the Anfield-based side so far.
