Chelsea are reportedly struggling to sell Armando Broja and might have to accept a loan move yet again. As reported by Inside Futbol, Serie A giants Juventus are keen on the Albania international but only on a loan deal.
Broja has come through the youth ranks of Chelsea having joined the club back in 2009 from Tottenham Hotspur. He made his debut for the Blues in 2020 but hasn't been able to establish himself as a regular starter at Stamford Bridge.
He spent the first half of the 2023-24 season at Chelsea and was loaned out to Fulham in the second half. However, he made just eight appearances for Marco Silva's side and failed to open his account.
In total, the Albanian played just 776 minutes across all competitions for both clubs last season and scored just twice. As per the aforementioned report, the Blues are desperately looking for buyers for the 22-year-old but have struggled to find any suitor.
Juventus are reportedly looking to take advantage of the situation and land the striker on a season-loan. Enzo Maresca has a pretty big squad at his disposal and might eventually have to settle for a loan deal.
Carlo Ancelotti backs Enzo Maresca to thrive at Chelsea
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has backed newly-appointed Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca to succeed at Stamford Bridge. Eyebrows were raised when the Blues appointed the Italian as the successor of Mauricio Pochettino after parting ways with the Argentine earlier this summer.
In a conversation with John Obi Mikel on The Obi One Podcast, Ancelotti was questioned on his views about the new Blues boss. The Real Madrid manager responded:
"I think so. When every one of us start a job, you have no experience. The experience is not something you can go to the supermarket and buy. You have to be patient to have experience. So the experience is not the most important part of our job."
The former AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) manager added:
"It is a part of our job, of course. But most important part is the knowledge. And the experience with [Pep] Guardiola and at Leicester [City], I think he has knowledge to manage and do well at Chelsea."
Maresca was formerly Pep Guardiola's assistant at Manchester City and left the Cityzens to manage Leicester City in 2023. In his very first season with the Foxes, he led them to Championship success with 97 points in 46 games.
