Trevoh Chalobah reportedly believes Chelsea are forcing him out of the club in this summer transfer window. He was recently left out of Enzo Maresca's squad that was announced for the five-match pre-season tour of the United States of America.

Chalobah, who joined the Blues at the age of nine, is a homegrown player, and hence, his sale will count as pure profit in the books. According to the Guardian, the defender will assess his options before deciding to leave and won't accept the first offer that comes through the door.

After a couple of seasons out on loan, Chalobah had a breakthrough 2020-21 season, where he played in 20 league matches. Now, the 25-year-old boasts 80 senior appearances with two major trophies to his name.

Chalobah was sidelined for a huge chunk of the 2023-24 campaign due to a thigh injury but was frequently picked when he returned to fitness. He ended the campaign with 17 appearances, with 13 of those coming in the Premier League.

However, it seems the Englishman won't find the same favor under Maresca, especially after Tosin Adarabioyo's arrival. Being left out of the pre-season squad is arguably a very clear sign that the club want him sold, with Crystal Palace and West Ham United keeping tabs on his situation.

As per Capology, Chalobah pockets £50,000 a week in wages after he penned a new deal until 2028 (with an additional year) back in November 2022.

Jamie O'Hara gives his take on Chelsea's reported Trevoh Chalobah stance

Former Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Jamie O'Hara doesn't agree with Chelsea's reported stance on Trevoh Chalobah. He feels the centre-back was impressive last season, where he helped his team stage a late fight in the league and finish sixth.

Speaking on TalkSPORT (via TheChelseaChronicle), the 37-year-old English pundit said of the situation:

"Unbelievable. He [Trevoh Chalobah] was really good for them at the end of last season."

Chalobah started in eight of his team's final nine Premier League matches last season, including in the five consecutive wins to end the campaign. But the competition for a starting berth in defense and the fact that his sale would count as pure profit could be two factors in the club deeming him expendable.

Despite Thiago Silva's exit, Enzo Maresca still has Axel Disasi, Levi Colwill, Benoit Badiashile, Alfie Gilchrist, Wesley Fofana, and Tosin Adarabioyo to choose from at the back.
