Chelsea keen on signing teenage star from London rivals Tottenham - Reports

Chelsea are keen on signing Tottenham Hotspur teenager Mikey Moore, who has been impressing for Spurs this pre-season. The 16-year-old was one of the most exciting players in their 3-2 win over Vissel Kobe in Japan. He is reportedly planning to continue his career with the North London club, who are excited about holding onto him.

However, according to a report from Mirror (via TBR Football), Chelsea have shown strong interest in the winger. The Blues aren't the only club chasing Moore's services, as Borussia Dortmund also reportedly have their eyes on the youngster.

A report from TBR Football has claimed that Moore has verbally agreed to stay with Tottenham. This deal will be signed and made official when he turns 17, ahead of the season's start in August.

Moore has also received strong praise from Spurs manager Ange Postecoglu, who said that the winger has earned his spot in the first team roster. Speaking after the match against Vissel Kobe, the Australian manager said (via TBR Football):

"He got a run with the first team because we could see in training that he was handling himself really well and that’s followed through into pre-season training... All we can do is keep allowing him to develop. We have to remember that last year he had some injuries and he is only 16, but — yeah — super exciting."

Chelsea set their sights on Manchester City forward

According to Football London, the Blues are Manchester City forward Julian Alvarez as their search for a new striker continues.

Reports this summer have claimed that Alvarez is not too pleased with playing second fiddle to City's main striker Erling Haaland. This has led to dissatisfaction around his game time, with the 24-year-old preferring to move elsewhere. Chelsea are said to be one of the clubs interested in his services.

However, it is worth noting that City are set to demand upwards of £70 million to let Julian Alvarez leave. According to the report, the Blues' owners are hesitant about forking out such a large amount.
