Chelsea reportedly remain keen on Atletico Madrid striker Samu Omorodion despite multiple rejections. Reports indicate that the Blues may be willing to submit another offer. Atletico Madrid have so far remained firm in their resolve to keep the young striker this summer, and wish to hand him a new deal.

Spain U-21 international Omorodion burst onto the scene in Spain's top flight in the summer of 2023 when he signed with Los Colchoneros. The youngster was immediately loaned out to Alaves, where he proved himself as one of the leading young marksmen in Spanish football. He scored nine goals and provided one assist in 35 La Liga games.

The quality displayed by Omorodion during his spell on loan at Alaves caught the eye of Chelsea, who are in the market for a new striker. The Blues have made multiple attempts to sign the 20-year-old striker, but have seen their offers rejected by Atletico Madrid, as per Ben Jacobs.

He reports that the Blues are not deterred by the rejections and will make another attempt to sign him before the end of the transfer window. The club believe that an offer in the region of €70 million will be sufficient to sign the striker this summer.

While the west London side are working on signing the young striker, Atletico Madrid are interested in securing his future with the club. Diego Simeone's side are in the process of handing Omorodion an extension that will see his release clause rise to €120 million.

Chelsea are keen to add a new striker this summer, with the likes of Victor Osimhen and Jonathan David having been looked at. Enzo Maresca may have to rely on Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku, as well as 18-year-old Marc Guiu for cover at center-forward.

Malang Sarr completes Chelsea exit to sign with Lens

France U-21 international Malang Sarr has secured a return to French football, swapping Chelsea for Ligue 1 outfit RC Lens. The centre-back has seen a nightmare two years at Stamford Bridge come to an end with his transfer.

Sarr joined the Blues from OGC Nice as a free agent in 2020 and had spells on loan at FC Porto and AS Monaco. The defender last featured for Chelsea in 2022 and spent the entirety of the 2023-24 season in the wilderness, completely out of the plans of Mauricio Pochettino.

Malang Sarr had an opportunity to leave Stamford Bridge in January to join Le Havre, but the deal fell through at the final stage. The Frenchman has now had his contract with the Blues terminated with one year left and has joined Lens as a free agent.
