Among a number of clubs, Chelsea are interested in signing £65 million rated attacking midfielder Georgiy Sudakov, who plays for European rivals Shakhtar Donetsk. As per reports, the 22-year-old has gained a number of admirers across the Premier League.

According to i News (via The Chelsea Chronicle), English clubs are particularly chasing after Sudakov. The Blues will need to be wary about the interest from their fellow London clubs, with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur looking to sign the playmaker. There will also be concerns about Manchester City, who are monitoring his situation in Donetsk.

It is no surprise that clubs have taken notice of Sudakov. He has burst into the limelight this season, scoring seven goals and providing two assists in eight league appearances. He has also been part of Ukraine's UEFA Nations League campaign, scoring a goal and providing an assist in four appearances.

Chelsea had noticed the playmaker last season, with reports from the Daily Mail revealing that the Blues had discussed it with his representatives. However, he decided to continue playing for Shakhtar, pushing his potential big move to the near future.

It is uncertain if he will leave the Ukrainian side this January, but the report from i News claims that this will "almost certainly" be his last season with Donetsk.

Former Chelsea defender believes club will sell Blues playmaker because "it's their business"

Former Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf believes that the Blues will sell exciting playmaker Cole Palmer if they get an impressive offer for him. The Blues might be eyeing another playmaker in Sudakov, but Palmer has been their shining light, scoring 31 goals and providing 20 assists in 54 games.

They signed him from Manchester City for only £42.5 million a year ago. A massive offer for the 22-year-old could see the Stamford Bridge hierarchy make double what they paid to get him. Leboeuf explained this to Safest Casino Sites, saying (via Caught Offside):

“Well they bought him for a very good price. So I guess if they get an offer for £100 million, because it’s their business, the trading business. Chelsea will go against their business model if they don’t sell.
"Of course the fans are going to be upset but if they don’t sell him for £100 million when they bought him for like £45 million, that would be absolutely stupid of them to forgo their trading business system."

He finished:

"So yes, they’re going to sell him because they don’t care [about the club]. They are there to make money, not there to get results. Results are for the fans, money are for the owners."

Time will tell if a massive offer comes in for Cole Palmer, who has scored six goals and provided five assists in seven Premier League games this season.
