Barcelona are reportedly keen on signing Sergio Reguilon from Tottenham Hotspur this summer. The full-back has entered the last year of his deal at Spurs, having made just 67 appearances for the club since his move to England four years ago.

As per Sky Sports, Barca have already made inquiries and Tottenham are open to parting ways with Reguilon. The 27-year-old is apparently not part of Ange Postecoglou's plans at the club, having been loaned out for the entirety of last season.

Reguilon spent the first half of the 2023-24 campaign at Manchester United, registering no tangible attacking contributions in 12 appearances across competitions. He then moved to Brentford, where he found more luck in the attacking third of the pitch, making four assists in 16 appearances.

Reguilon, who is reportedly considered expendable at Tottenham, moved to north London in 2020 for a €30 million fee after spending 15 years on Real Madrid's books. Thus, a move to Barcelona could prove to be a big talking point among fans of both teams given his history with Los Blancos.

On paper, the Blaugranas only have Alejandro Balde as a specialist left-back after releasing Jordi Alba (2023) and Marcos Alonso (2024) in back-to-back summer transfer windows.

Barcelona target and Tottenham star Sergio Reguilon open to Manchester United return if they make a move - Romano

Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Sergio Reguilon will be open to returning to Manchester United if the Red Devils make a move for him. He did, however, add that there was nothing developing on that front for the time being.

Speaking on his YouTube channel (via GiveMeSport) towards the end of July, Romano said:

"What is important to say is that at the moment, there is still nothing advanced or nothing concrete between Tottenham and Man United for Reguilon. So nothing is really advanced on this one. But in general, Sergio Reguilon was very happy at Manchester United.
"So if tomorrow, Man United decide to return for Sergio Reguilon, the player will be keen on the move. He loved his time at Manchester United, was a short time, but he was very happy with the club, with the tactical ideas and with all the points involved in Manchester United."

Reguilon may well struggle for playing time if he does move to Manchester United, considering they have Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia — two full internationals for their respective countries. Diogo Dalot can and has played in that position in the past as well, which would only hamper the Spaniard's chances at regular minutes.

It is worth noting that the Red Devils signed Reguilon on loan last summer as a seemingly desperate measure to counter Shaw and Malacia's long-term injuries.
