Hansi Flick has been handed a headache ahead of Barcelona's pre-season tour.

Barcelona forward Ansu Fati has suffered a foot injury while training and will likely miss the La Liga giants' pre-season tour of the United States. The young Spanish winger has been linked with a move to Sevilla this summer.

The Catalans confirmed Fati's injury with a statement on their website. He's set to undergo 'conservative treatment' in the Catalonian city. His return to training depends on his recovery time.

Fati, 21, is now a doubt for Barcelona's pre-season tour of the United States. They start their tour against Manchester City on July 31 and will return for the Joan Gamper Trophy against AS Monaco on August 12.

The 10-cap Spain international returned to Camp Nou earlier this summer after spending last season on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion. He fell out of favor under former manager Xavi but could be handed a fresh start.

Fati is said to have impressed new coach Hansi Flick and his staff before suffering his foot injury, per Barca Universal. He lacked game time before joining Brighton on loan, where he made 27 appearances, posting four goals and one assist.

The Spaniard could be on the move amid speculation linking him with a move to Sevilla. They are reportedly eager to sign the youngster on loan, per Diario Sport. He has three years left on his contract with the Blaugrana and was tipped to become a superstar before a serious knee injury years ago.

Fati's future at Barcelona is further jeopardized by the club's interest in Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams. The 22-year-old was a standout performer for Spain at Euro 2024 and is on several European giants' radars.

SPORT reports that Williams has told his agents to ignore all offers from clubs except Barca. He wants to either stay at Bilbao or join the Catalan giants this summer.

Williams has a reported release clause of €58 million, which Barcelona must trigger to sign the attacker. The Blaugrana's president, Joan Laporta, hinted he intends to pursue the 20-cap Spain international when interacting with a fan.

The exciting forward was excellent at Euro 2024 and netted the opener in La Roja's 2-1 win against England in the final. He flourished at San Mames last season, registering eight goals and 19 assists in 37 games across competitions.
