Victor Osimhen reportedly has a release clause of £113 million.

Arsenal and Chelsea target Victor Osimhen is keen to join Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), according to Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg.

Since the turn of the year, Osimhen has been in the headlines owing to interest from Arsenal, Chelsea, and PSG. The Nigerian is believed to be keen to leave Napoli this month with his deal set to run out in 2026.

Taking to X, Plettenberg provided insight into the right-footed forward's future at Napoli amid interest from European heavyweights. He wrote:

"[I] understand that Victor Osimhen still wants to join PSG until deadline day as PSG is definitely his desired destination. Chelsea [are] still trying to sign the [25-year-old] striker and [I have] been told that there was also a loose approach from Arsenal weeks ago."

Commenting more about the Arsenal and Chelsea target, he added:

"But Osimhen is not currently pushing for a move to the Premier League. His preference is [moving to] Paris but [PSG] can't proceed as [Randal] Kolo Muani [and Goncalo] Ramos are under contract."

Should the former VfL Wolfsburg man join PSG this summer, he would fill the offensive void left by Real Madrid attacker Kylian Mbappe's exit.

Osimhen, 25, has registered 76 goals and 18 assists in 133 games for Napoli since leaving LOSC Lille in a potential £68 million deal in 2020.

Arsenal legend Paul Merson says Chelsea superstar will underperform after new deal

Earlier this week, Cole Palmer penned a contract extension until June 2033 at Chelsea. He has allegedly been handed a major pay hike too.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Gunners great Paul Merson shared a worrying prediction about the left-footed English midfielder. He said (h/t Metro):

"He's had an unbelievable season and he is a good player but this season every [opposition] team talk is going to be 'Stop Cole Palmer playing'. He's got that now the whole time. And now you're giving him a nine-year contract? I'm not sure [he will score 15 goals]. Last season he was unreal. This season he is marked."

Merson, who played for the Gunners between 1985 and 1997, added:

"We've seen it a million times, like with [Emmanuel] Adebayor. He ripped it up at Arsenal [in the 2007-08 season], got a new contract and was marked. It's going to be hard. If he gets 15 goals next season, I'll be like, 'Wow, fair play to you'. 15 is a lot of goals."

Since leaving Manchester City in a £42.5 million transfer last summer, Palmer has recorded 25 goals and 15 assists in 45 games for his club.
