Two PL clubs interested in former Chelsea and Manchester United target

According to L'Equipe, Crystal Palace and Fulham are interested in signing French forward Rayan Cherki from Olympique Lyon. Clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain were previously interested in the attacking midfielder.

The 21-year-old was expected to leave Lyon this summer, but no move has been finalised with less than two weeks remaining in the transfer window. Cherki has recently returned from holidays after playing for France in the 2024 Paris Olympic.

According to L'Equipe, Lyon remain keen on selling Cherki and don't want to re-integrate the player into the first team. They want to avoid any risk of injury and want Cherki to regain his fitness. Earlier this summer, Cherki was reportedly close to joining Borussia Dortmund, but the move eventually fell through.

However, Crystal Palace and Fulham are interested in the player and PSG are also monitoring the situation. According to reports, there is interest from the Bundesliga as well.

Fulham have already agreed to a deal to sign Burnley midfielder Sander Berge and Cherki could be their next target. Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze has been linked with a move away and the Frenchman could be a fine replacement for him.

The former Chelsea and Manchester United target came through Lyon's academy and has made 141 appearances for the senior team, recording 17 goals and providing 25 assists. Cherki scored three goals and set up nine in 39 appearances across competitions last season.

The 21-year-old has a deal with Lyon until 2025 and Transfermarkt values the player at €25 million.

Chelsea and Manchester United learn asking price for Ivan Toney: Reports

As per The Times, Brentford want £50 to £60 million for England international Ivan Toney this summer. Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal have all been linked with a move for Toney.

Apart from the three Premier League giants, Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Ahli have also thrown their hat into the race. According to BBC Sport, they had a £35 million bid turned down by the Bees. Toney reportedly wants a yearly salary of €20 million to agree on a Saudi move.

Toney, 28, has shown he can churn out 20 goals a season. He boasts an impressive track record for Brentford, having scored 72 goals and providing 23 assists in 141 appearances. Thomas Frank left Toney out of the squad to face Crystal Palace in the Bees' PL opener.

Chelsea lack an experienced goalscorer and Nicolas Jackson hasn't been clinical enough. Manchester United have already signed Joshua Zirkzee to support Rasmus Hojlund. Both clubs, though, remain linked with Toney alongside Arsenal.
