Queens Park Rangers and Crystal Palace square off in the EFL Cup on Tuesday

The action continues in round three of the EFL Cup as Queens Park Rangers and Crystal Palace square off at the Loftus Road Stadium on Tuesday. The Premier League side set out in search of their first away win of the season, having failed to win their opening two games on the road.

Twenty-one-year-old Alfie Lloyd came up clutch for Queens Park Rangers as he netted in the 96th minute to hand them a 1-1 draw against Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship on Saturday.

Marti Cifuentes’ men have now gone six straight games without defeat across all competitions, picking up three wins and three draws since a 3-1 loss against West Bromwich Albion on August 10.

QPR turn their sights to the EFL Cup where they picked up a 2-1 win over Cambridge United on August 13, two weeks before edging out Luton Town on penalties in the second round.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace turned in a fine show of fighting spirit as they fought back from two goals down to salvage a 2-2 draw against Leicester City on Saturday.

With that result, Oliver Glasner’s side have failed to taste victory in their opening four Premier League matches, picking up just two points from the first 12 available.

Crystal Palace will look to secure a morale-boosting result in the EFL Cup, where they kicked off their campaign with a 4-0 victory over Norwich City in the second round on August 27.

Queens Park Rangers vs Crystal Palace Prediction

Following their impressive comeback against Leicester, Crystal Palace will also need to be at their best against a QPR side who are unbeaten in their last six matches.

However, Glasner’s men boast the firepower needed to get the job done and we are backing them to come out on top at Loftus Road.
