Real Betis took a cheeky jibe at transfer expert Fabrizio Romano after jokingly announcing Liverpool's Konstantinos Tsimikas as their new signing. The La Liga side posted a video where Tsimikas could be seen posing alongside former Reds goalkeeper Adrian.

Adrian, currently at Betis, gifted Tsimikas a Betis jersey, and they posed with it. Betis posted a short video on their social media handle, captioning it:

"You didn't see this one coming, @FabrizioRomano."

Adrian recently rejoined Betis after five years at Merseyside. He made 26 appearances for the Reds, keeping seven clean sheets. The 37-year-old previously made 32 appearances for Betis, keeping 11 clean sheets. He left for English football after his first Betis spell, spending a significant time with West Ham. His video with Tsimikas, though, might have given some Liverpool fans nightmares.

The 28-year-old Tsimikas has been a key player for the Reds since his 2020 move to the club. He has so far provided 16 assists in 86 appearances. Last season he played 25 games, keeping four clean sheets.

While Tsimikas could have been a good addition to Betis' full-back rank alongside Hector Bellerin, Arne Slot won't probably like the prospect of such a useful squad player leaving.

Adrian reacts after reuniting with ex-Liverpool teammates

Adrian has reacted to reuniting with his former teammates during the pre-season tour in Pittsburgh. Adrian has just left the club, hence, it was an awkward experience for the goalkeeper, as he revealed.

While he knows Betis thoroughly from his previous stint at the club, Adrian found it strange walking into the Reds' changing room in another jersey. The Spaniard said (via the Reds' website):

"To be honest, it was a bit strange to come to this room with a different kit, a different color, a different badge on the chest."

Adrian also said that he didn't have the chance to say a proper goodbye to his former teammates during his summer departure. The reunion gave the goalkeeper the chance to do so.
